WASHINGTON — Following his exit from the 2024 election, President Joe Biden has vowed to dedicate the remainder of his term to the completion of an extensive model train set in the White House basement that he’s been working on since his administration started in 2021.
The model railway and its surrounding village, christened “Bidenville” by the president, spans nearly 500 square feet and features intricate landscapes and small replicas of American attractions.
Mr. Biden has reportedly spent countless hours meticulously crafting each detail, from the miniature trees to the tiny storefronts. However, due to the demands of his job, much work remains before the train set is finished.
The president himself acknowledged that had he continued in his quest for a second term, the time commitment of a presidential campaign would not have allowed for the train set to be completed.
“When I took office, I made a commitment to see this through, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do by finishing my HO scale model train set featuring America’s greatest landmarks,” Mr. Biden said. “Bidenville will be my legacy.”
